For this project the client wanted to have a fun quiz game at their conferences and events. It was to be displayed on a large presentation screen with the ability for people to participate through their mobile phones.
Shown above are the presentation screen (with sponsorship banner) and the accompanying participant mobile quiz waiting screens. The ‘fun’ dots gently move around the screen. Whilst the people wait for the quiz to begin.
Some of the original working thoughts behind the brand and user interface. It was great to have the opportunity to bring the brand to life! The connection between the ‘c’ and the ‘o’ became the basis for the thought behind the playful, ‘fun’ dots that give life in static or animated form on the canvas.
Shown above is the ‘anatomy’ of the quiz app. Utilising the new brand, form now informs function.
Shown above are some of the quiz icons and their respective application screens. These inform users, both negatively and positively, as they progress through the quiz.
Shown above are is the particle animation with a little interaction and some examples of how the ‘fun’ dots can work in differing colour ways. Notice each screen has a dot colour that disappears. Noice.
One of a number of screens to promote the quiz application on an accompanying promotional website.
A few of the question screens, showing four types: ordering, two truths one lie, rating and a basic question.
Another screenshot from the promotional website. I really like the way the brand elements spring into life in this visual! They give a good sense of the collaborative fun that can be had with the app.
